The Center for Adolescent
Research and Development, in collaboration with the Mid-Hudson
School Study Council, will host a Coffee Hour for Counselors to
discuss ADHD in Schools.
3-3:50 pm: Coffee and conversation
4-5 pm: Guest speaker and questions
Guest Speaker: Martin L. Kutscher, MD, PLLC,
behavioral neurology specialist and Assistant Clinical Professor
for the Department of Pediatrics and Neurology, New York Medical
Federal laws (Individuals with Disabilities Educational Act and
Section 504) mandate that school personnel to provide every student
with a free appropriate public education. This session will provide
information on how counselors and other support personnel can help
support students with ADHD and provide support for teachers.
Guidance counselors, school psychologists, social workers, and
school administrators are welcome to attend. Through these
sessions, we hope to provide information, and a safe space for
conversation and dialogue.
