Bio
Dean Goldberg began his professional life working for a well
known New York democratic political consultant, David Sawyer. As a
film editor, then producer/ director, he was involved with more
than fifty national campaigns, including races for Senator Ted
Kennedy, Senator John Glenn, Senator Frank Lautenberg, Governor Jim
Hunt, and Mayor Kevin White. He wrote and directed television
episodes for "Missing Reward," "Hard Copy," "A Current Affair," and
many other shows featuring dramatic recreations.
For the past 15 years, Professor Goldberg has taught at various
colleges, including Hunter College and Pratt Institute, Bloomfield
College, and Dutchess Community College where he taught video
production and media writing courses.
Professor Goldberg moved to Woodstock, New York in 2004. In
2005, his one act play Saving Grace had a staged reading at the
Deep Listening Space in Kingston, NY.
Professor Goldberg writes about the film industry for
Student Filmmaker magazine, as well as articles and poetry
for the Chronogram and other magazines. He has currently
completed a feature length screenplay which had its first public
reading at Tangent Theatre Space in Tivoli this past summer.
Professor Goldberg holds a BFA from CUNY at Hunter College and a
MFA from Goddard College.
