Courtney serves the college as an academic advisor, working with
students in the Adult Degree Completion program in the areas of
human services, psychology, interdisciplinary studies, as well as
the RN to BSN program.
Courtney has a diverse professional background, and has worked
previously as a program director in a non-profit agency providing
vocational rehabilitation services to adults with psychiatric
disabilities, and as a psychotherapist in private practice.
However, the majority of Courtney’s prior experience is in higher
education, where she has held positions in student affairs,
residence life, as well as graduate and law admissions. She
currently also serves as an adjunct instructor for both Mount Saint
Mary College and Long Island University's Graduate Center at West
Point in the Counseling division.
Courtney holds a bachelor of arts degree from the State
University of New York College at Oneonta, where she majored in
political science. In 2007, Courtney earned a master of science
degree in counseling from Pace University.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Courtney is very
active in local community and faith-based organizations, including
currently serving as a board member for the Down Syndrome
Association of the Hudson Valley. In October 2012, Courtney was
named as one of Orange County's Rising Stars, an honor awarded
through the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Orange,
and Junior League of Orange County. She currently resides in Orange
County with her husband and two children.
