Study Abroad in

Florence, Italy

Florence is one of the most culturally and socially rich cities in all of Europe. It houses more original artwork then almost any other European city and is considered to be the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Not only is the city littered with museums, cathedrals, and piazzas, it's also a gastronome’s dream!

Located two hours north of Rome, Florence has a population of approximately 4 million and was briefly the capital of the Kingdom of Italy in 1865. Florence was long ruled by the Medici family whose legacy has left a far-reaching impact on art, culture, history and politics in this amazing city.

Our faculty-led program is run in conjunctions with CAPA International and is considered to be one of the premiere Study Abroad centers in Florence. It is located on the Piazza Galli-Tassi on the Via Pandolfini. The school is in the shadow of the Brunelleschi Dome and steps from Santa Croce.

The Summer 2012 Program is offering the following courses:

  • The Story of the Brain with Dr. Sarah Uzelac
  • E.M. Forster: An Englishman's Sunny View of Italy With Dr. Marie Sulit
  • Italian Art and Architecture: professor TBD

You can apply for any of the study abroad programs by filling out an application and supplying a faculty reference.
