Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Mount offers both financial aid and scholarships opportunities for transfer students. These include:

Transfer Honors Scholarships

The Mount will award a full tuition Transfer Honors Scholarship per academic year to one selected student from each of the following participating Community Colleges; Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Westchester, Nassau and Rockland.

Transfer Merit Scholarships

High-achieving transfer students with GPA of 3.0 or better qualify for a Merit Award of $2,000 or $4,000 per year (see below).

                3.0-3.49 GPA- $2,000                 3.5-4.0 GPA- $4,000

Resident Grant- Students with a 3.0 GPA or higher who live on campus will receive an additional $2,000 Resident Grant.

Need Based Grants- We encourage all students to apply for financial aid. Students who receive academic awards may also qualify for a need-based MSMC Grant of up to $3,000* per year.

Need-based aid

Students who do not meet the 3.0 GPA criteria, but have financial need may qualify for an MSMC Grant of up to $4,000* per year. All students should file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible to determine eligibility for federal, state and MSMC Grants.
