Here's a 50th anniversary message from the President of
Mount Saint Mary College, Fr. Kevin E. Mackin, OFM:
Dear friends of Mount Saint Mary College,
The years of 1959-1960 were monumental in society, and here
in Newburgh, New York.
Mount Saint Mary College took up residence in the Villa
Madonna, overlooking the beautiful Hudson River. There
were four full-time faculty, two administrators, four clerical
workers, and soon there were 42 students.
Today, nearly 2,700 students receive career preparation for
education, business management, communications, health
professions, social sciences and more.
As we celebrate a half century legacy of learning in the
Catholic and Dominican traditions, I invite you to explore
our offerings and public events, and to learn more at our
anniversary web pages.
