Located at the highest elevation on the campus, Guzman Hall
overlooks the Kaplan Recreation Center and Whittaker Hall and
offers breathtaking river views.
Guzman Hall is a co-ed residence hall. Each floor has a lounge
area. There is a 24-hour security desk at the entrance. Additional
amenities in the building include a movie theater room, laundry
room, computer room, vending machines, fitness room, as well as a
fully equipped kitchen.
Each bedroom has been created to house 3 residents. Depending on
the requests for housing, at times we may be able to assign 2
residents to a bedroom.
All rooms are configured in the following
manner:
- 1-bedroom suite – 2 or 3 beds, desks with chairs, dressers, and
armoires. Private bathroom.
- 2-bedroom Suite – 2 separate bedrooms off of a common living
area consisting of a couch and/or 2 chairs, and table. Each bedroom
has 2 or 3 beds, desks with chairs, dressers, and armoires. Private
bathroom located off the common living area.
A 1-bedroom suite with 3 beds, desks, dressers, armoires and a
private bathroom.
Phone, Cable TV, Wireless Internet Access
Information
Each bedroom has a phone number that both roommates share;
however each resident is given his/her own unique code for billing
purposes. Phones and voicemails are not provided. We suggest
bringing an answering machine.
There's a wireless network that works with desktop computers and
laptops. An FAQ will be mailed out by our IT department, but there
is a one-time cost for the network card and program to be self
installed on the computer. The card is approximately $115 and can
be purchased at the Campus Store.
Each bedroom also has cable TV access. Students wishing to use
the cable system must provide their own TV and coaxil cable. If you
have TIVO, bring it with you! TIVO is compatible with our cable
system.
Each floor in Guzman Hall has a lounge – this one is on the first
floor across from the movie room and Security offices.
