Campus ministry is at the service of the faculty, staff, and
students of all faiths.
Rooted in our rich Catholic tradition, we help to build a
community of faith through prayer, worship and service, helping all
to realize as children of God we are called to create a culture of
justice, peace and charity.
Campus Ministry offers a variety of activities to our students,
such as prayer experiences, retreats, and service programs. The
Campus Ministry staff also supports and participates in curricular
activities sponsored by Student Life. We are located in Hudson
Hall, Room 106-C.
In keeping with the rich Dominican history of Mount Saint Mary
College, Campus Ministry, in conjunction with the Catholic and
Dominican Institute, offer a variety of workshops and conferences
to help students experience and be in touch with this spiritual
heritage. A campus chapter of the Third Order of Saint Dominic is
available to students as well as faculty who wish to deepen their
understanding and prayer life of Dominican spirituality.
The Sacramental life of the Catholic Church is offered to all.
Mass is celebrated daily Monday-Friday and on Sunday. The Sacrament
of Reconciliation (confession) is available and those who have not
received Confirmation are assisted by the Chaplain and his
staff.
For those seeking full communion in the Catholic Church, we
offer the RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) to
students.
