Counseling Services

Counseling Services offers individual and group counseling, off-campus referral services, consultation and outreach, online mental health screenings, and support for mental health emergencies.

The Counseling Services office offers time-limited counseling sessions with qualified mental health professionals to matriculated students of Mount Saint Mary College enrolled during the current semester.

Counseling is a collaborative process that involves the development of a unique, confidential, and supportive relationship. Counselors act as facilitators in helping students better understand themselves, their feelings and behaviors, and their relationships with others. Counseling assists in the development of insight and coping skills to deal with challenges such as anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Additionally, counseling provides an invaluable forum to discuss concerns, problems, and decisions with an objective professional.

We are located in Aquinas 306, and are open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Please stop by our office, call us at 845-569-3115, or email to make an appointment.

Counseling Services is a part of the Student Support Center which is comprised of the Office of Student Success, Counseling Services, Disability Services, and the Higher Education Opportunity Program. The Student Support Center coordinates these services to promote the academic achievement, emotional health, interpersonal well-being, and retention of Mount Saint Mary College students.
