Once students are approved for accommodations, letters verifying that they are entitled to such services will be prepared for them at our office to distribute to their course instructors. Students are given the responsibility of requesting classroom and testing accommodations from their instructors. See other sections for more information regarding testing accommodations and advocacy.
Students experiencing academic difficulties can schedule an appointment with a disability counselor to discuss their options. We encourage students with to contact their instructors to discuss strategies for improving performance and overall progress in their courses. Instructors may offer information on study tips, exam preparation, study groups and tutoring services. Tutoring services are provided by the Office of Student Academic Services.
