Technology

At the Mount, we see technology as a cornerstone of your educational experience, today and into the future.

It's an exciting time to be part of the Mount Saint Mary College community. Our technology professionals are committed to providing you with cutting edge, high quality technology support and services in a college environment.

Commitment to educational technology is a goal in our current strategic plan. Mount Saint Mary College will be a leading provider of undergraduate, graduate, and professional education opportunities.

Today, virtually every academic classroom capable of supporting smart technology is equipped with projection, multi-media assets, multiple computer connections, sound, and software to enhance the teaching and learning environment. Mount Saint Mary College is proud of the 50 plus classrooms that use instructional technology.

Infrastructure

Mount Saint Mary College’s technology infrastructure is comprised of a diverse array of assets that enable a dynamic fiber optic-based campus-wide data, telephony, and wireless network.

Our network is robust and ever-changing to meet the challenges of higher education, while maintaining a solid footprint in the evolving technologies. Currently, the institution is implementing new strategies to enhance our long-standing core strength of educating students by including new technologies that support synchronous and asynchronous learning.

Support Structure

The Office of Technology and Planning team is divided into support elements designed to enhance campus support. The elements include Audio/Visual Support Services, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Services, Institutional Research & Planning, Instructional Media Services, Network/Wireless Services, Hardware/Software Support Services, Telephony Services, and the College Help Desk.

Each element is staffed with technology professionals holding numerous support certifications and a customer support orientation as defined by the international standard ITIL Version 3.

We hope that the information in these pages will help you learn about the specific types of services offered by the Office of Technology and Planning.

Our goal is to provide a wealth of information to help our students, faculty and staff to fully exploit the college's technological assets and access to our support processes.

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, please direct your inquiries to the college Help Desk at helpdesk@msmc.edu , or call us at 845-569-3491.
