In addition to all the opportunities you'll have as either an English or Media Studies major at the Mount, we have another exciting program for students serious about entering the publishing field.
The Mount has a dual/joint program that leads to a B.A. in either English or Media Studies and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. During your first three years at the Mount you'll follow the prescribed courses for your undergraduate degree. In your senior year, you'll take two or three courses in your major at the Mount per semester and two graduate courses each semester at Pace. Your fifth year of study will be exclusively at Pace.
This new program is just another way the Mount serves the needs of our student population.
The liberal arts tradition
While it is very important to concentrate on one area of study, we believe that exposure to courses in other disciplines will develop you as a whole person. No matter what course of study you pursue at the Mount, you will take a number of required courses in the liberal arts (arts and letters, natural science, math, social science, and philosophy or religion.) Combined with the elective courses you choose to take, you will become a critical thinker and a life-long learner.
