Our Accounting program prepares graduates for rewarding careers in both public and private accounting fields as well as for graduate study. Our Accounting majors have the option of choosing to concentrate in international business if so inclined.
Accounting majors are in good hands at the Mount. You'll be guided by a faculty with an average of 20 years of both practical business experience in Fortune 500 companies and academic experience. Our accounting professors hold doctorates, MBAs or CPA licenses.
And of course you'll be encouraged to pursue one of the many co-op and internship opportunities the Mount has to offer because the practical real-world experience will enhance your degree and increase your marketability when you graduate. Over 90 percent of our students are employed upon graduation.

The liberal arts tradition
While it is very important to concentrate on one area of study, we believe that exposure to courses in other disciplines will develop you as a whole person. No matter what course of study you pursue at the Mount, you will take a number of required courses in the liberal arts (arts and letters, natural science, math, social science, and philosophy and religion) to ensure you of a well-rounded education. Combined with the elective courses you choose to take, you will become a critical thinker and a life-long learner.
