See yourself as an Accounting major with a concentration in International Business
Once upon a time, the world of big business was not so big. Today, the world of big business is global. Large and small companies have a presence in countries around the world. And because we are living in the international era, the Mount offers students who are interested in global economy an opportunity to pursue a degree in Accounting with a concentration in International Business.
That means, you will take all the courses required for a degree in Accounting, but your studies will concentrate on courses in International Business.
In addition to co-op and internship opportunities you will have to work with international companies, you will also have an opportunity to participate in our study abroad program where you will gain real international experience.
The liberal arts tradition
While it is very important to concentrate on one area of study, we believe that exposure to courses in other disciplines will develop you as a whole person. No matter what course of study you pursue at the Mount, you will take a number of required courses in the liberal arts (arts and letters, natural science, math, social science, and philosophy and religion) to ensure you of a well-rounded education. Combined with the elective courses you choose to take, you will become a critical thinker and a life-long learner.
