Honors Programs
Through the Honors Program, Mount Saint Mary College allows selected students to pursue advanced courses. The students work closely with an academic adviser and the Honors Program Coordinator to create a challenging academic curriculum that will engage the student's interests. It can include study abroad, independent study, and research on specific topics and projects. Social and cultural activities are also encompassed to provide an opportunity to interact with faculty and other Honors students. The student must be capable of meeting the rigors and challenges of sophisticated work outside the traditional curriculum.
The Honors Program comprises academic, cultural and social activities, each of which complements and reinforces the others. While designed for traditional undergraduate students, the program is open to non-traditional students as well.
