Newburgh business associates value the staffing resource the Mount's Co-op Program provides. They realize that
students majoring in business are eager
to apply and expand upon their newly
acquired knowledge and skills.
Says Dick Purcell of AFFCO, American Felt and Filter Company, "The Co-op Program opens up student's eyes to reality and broadens their perspective as to what the real life working environment will be like." Frank Kosteczko, (pictured at right) who co-oped in sales and marketing at AFFCO, adds, "It's a really good experience for any college student to get into. If you like it, you can go further. If not, you can change." Frank knows about decision making. Before he accepted his job at AFFCO, Frank went on several interviews. "I learned what to do and what not to do. Each one helped me prepare for the next."
Emily Clark (pictured at right) worked as an office
administrator at Knapp Consultants,
Inc., an employment recruiting firm."Before this job, I was unaware of many
of the possibilities that were out there
for me. This experience opened my eyes
to countless job opportunities for me to
pursue. I think that doing something like
this is a must for anyone who will soon
be graduating. This experience helped me
become more articulate, organized and
professional. All of my training was hands on.
I learned by examples and from my
supervisors and their materials."
Emily´s supervisor, Belle Rainey, adds, "Emily is learning all aspects of human resources: information technology, criteria for jobs, and all the different companies that are out there. We couldn't be more pleased with her natural and educational resources. She went beyond our expectations. Having Emily here has really added value to all aspects of our company."
