The excitement of this job is awesome. There is nothing like pulling up to an event in a station vehicle and setting up while listeners wait for you to entertain them.
As an intern for Clear Channel Radio, I was responsible for the coordination and running of promotions and events for multiple radio stations. In addition, I was able to incorporate office hours to fully gain more knowledge in the field.
This internship has helped me grow as a person. I now fully understand the importance of time management. My supervisor, Michelle Taylor, said, "Like myself, Kelli goes in many directions, trying to grasp as much as we can all at once."
The diversity factor of interning at Clear Channel was really good. I could branch out. One day I could be at an event for WRWD and then later that night I could be working at the opposite end of the spectrum for KSS-FM.
And, good news! Michelle has hired me as a part-timer for the school year.
