Application Checklist-Check it Out, Check it Off
To help make sure you’ve taken care of all the necessary steps when applying, we’ve put together this handy dandy checklist—simply follow the steps below.

TO APPLY

  1. Since the Mount accepts students on a rolling admission basis, you can apply at any time. However, we recommend you apply during the first half of your senior year.
  2. Apply Online or view and print the PDF version of the Application for Admission. Please note: The online application is a secure online form. Your transmissions while in this area are absolutely secure and private.
  3. Ask your high school guidance office to forward your official transcript and SAT or ACT scores to Mount Saint Mary College.
  4. If you are a transfer student, please forward all official transcripts from high school and college(s) attended.
  5. Be sure to include a $40 application fee with your application and materials.
  6. In addition to your academic records, we take into account personal references and recommendations to ensure a good fit. You may want to consider collecting these from your teachers, coaches, or employers to include with your application.

FINANCIAL AID

  1. Once you are accepted to the Mount you will be considered for all aid available, depending upon need, including federal, state, and institutional funds on a first-come, first-served basis.

  2. Mount Saint Mary College requires all applicants for financial aid to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can get the form online at: www.fafsa.ed.gov, from your high school counsellor, or from the Mount's Financial Aid Office.
  3. IMPORTANT DATES: Since financial aid is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, applicants are advised to file the required forms no later than February 15 of the year enrollment is anticipated. Returning students should file this form or the Renewal FAFSA no later than April 15.
  4. List the Mount as a recipient (Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, NY 12550).
  5. IMPORTANT NUMBER: Our school code is: 002778.
