Community Education

The Center for Community and Educational Services (CCES) offers a spectrum of noncredit, life enrichment courses and programs geared to the adult learner. you can gain valuable skills, expand your min, and perhaps even find a new interest or vocation.

The center aims to maintain a balance between the practical and the cultural aspects of learning. We also offer courses designed for adults age 55 and older called Learning is Forever Enriching (L.I.F.E.), and we offer the Elderhostel program at our campus every summer.

The LIFE program offers many day trips and explorations throughout New York City and the Hudson Valley that feature the arts, history, architecture, literature, music, the Hudson River, and many other topics. We encourage and welcome suggestions for new courses, programs and seminars

We reach out to the community to meet specific needs and contribute to the quality of life in the mid-Hudson area. Our programs demonstrate our commitment to lifelong learning, a central tenet of Mount Saint Mary College's mission statement.  

Each year, CCES offers courses in the day, evening, and in Saturday sessions taught at the college’s scenic Desmond Campus in Balmville.
