Physician Assistant Program Clinical Director

Mount Saint Mary College of Physician Assistant Studies is seeking an experienced, dynamic educator and invites applications for a twelve-month position in the program of Physician Assistant Studies. The successful applicant will serve as the program’s Clinical Coordinator. Qualifications include: NCCPA certification, licensure or eligibility for New York licensure and 2-3 years of experience educating PA students either as a clinical preceptor or as a faculty member. Prior experience as a clinical preceptor, clinical site development, evaluation and curriculum development are desirable. A Master’s degree is required.

Responsibilities include coordination of all aspects of the program’s clinical curriculum, site development, and evaluation; recruitment, screening, evaluation and development of clinical preceptors. The coordinator will also be responsible for managing the clinical rotation schedule, evaluation of students’ progress and arranging remedial instruction related to the clinical curriculum, and advising graduate students. Administrative duties include participation in various programs and college committees. Additional service and clinical practice outside the college is encouraged.

The PA program will matriculate its inaugural class in 2016, pending receipt of provisional accreditation in September 2015. The successful candidate will enjoy the opportunity to thrive as a supported member of a collaborative academic team.
