The Mount Saint Mary College Career Development office helps Mount students and alumni with all matters related to their career ambitions and objectives.

The Mount's new Career Center

The Career Development office has merged with the Mount's Co-op & Internship office to form the new Career Center.

The Mount Saint Mary College Career Center combines the best resources of both of these offices, and greatly increases outreach and placement potential for MSMC students and alumni.

The CC services students in all majors, from freshmen to seniors to alumni, and also assists with graduate school applications, full-time job searches and career exploration.

CC services include resume and cover letter preparation to interviewing strategies for students as they look for paid co-ops and internships related to their majors before graduation, and post-graduation employment.

The CC will sponsor many campus events, including salary negotiation workshops, etiquette dinners, social networking workshops and a campus wide employment fair.  

Career Development mission

The Career Development Office's mission is to provide career development services to MSMC students and alumni. This is accomplished through career counseling, interest and value assessment, development of career awareness, goal setting, job skill preparation, graduate school information and employment search assistance.

The Career Development Office supports the value of a liberal arts education, stressing the importance of transferable skills. Students are encouraged to see the relationship between their college courses and the work world, and how Career Center workshop skills will play a part in their future professional growth.
