Yeah, we get that often when prospective students come to visit campus (and even
from our current students!) Our ideal location in Newburgh, New York, on the west
bank of the Hudson River, will provide you with an amazing place to call home
for the next four years of your life.
It’s the best of both worlds. You’ll live in an area rich in historical
charm, while being only an hour away from the entertainment and career and internship
opportunities offered by
New York City.
Our location will not only factor into your living experience, but serve as a
learning laboratory as well. You’ll use the Hudson and other areas around
town and in the city for both classroom and service learning experiences, such
as:
- Testing the water quality along the Hudson for your biology class
- Building a new home for families in need through Habitat for Humanity
- Holding an internship at Interscope Records, downtown New York City
What to do?
Our students always have something going on—both
on campus and off.
Here are a few examples of things you can do on a Saturday night:
- Hang out at the Newburgh Waterfront
- Experience the nightlife in NYC or Newburgh
- Take a river cruise down the Hudson
- Check out a movie at the local theatre
- Take a train into NYC to catch a game, to shop, or to visit the numerous cultural centers and museums
