Road Scholar, the not-for-profit leader in educational travel
since 1975, offers more than 7,000 educational programs in all 50
states and 150 countries. Mount Saint Mary College has been proudly
hosting the program since 1996.
The Mount will once again be conducting its popular Road
Scholar (formerly Elderhostel) program in the Hudson Valley in
The program includes up to a week of living on campus
with classroom instruction, meals, related field trips,
appreciation of the local arts and a lovely, scenic cruise on the

The Sakac Residence Hall on the Mount's main campus will be used
for housing. It is air-conditioned and has private bath
The Road Scholar program welcomes residents and commuters
Do you live locally? Classes typically take
place in the morning and early afternoon. If you are an adult, live
locally, and are interested in attending as a Road Scholars
commuter, you can pay a fee and enjoy all classes, field trips,
lunches, and dinners.
Live out of the area? Stay on campus for a
week! Adults that choose to stay on campus for any of the
programs will stay on the MSMC campus in Sakac Hall, our newest
residence hall, with beautiful views of the Hudson River.
