Dr. Bill Swart has worked in three New York State Public School Districts.

In addition to work as a classroom teacher, school building leader, associate superintendent for pupil personnel, and associate superintendent for instruction K-12, Dr. Swart was a school superintendent in Orange County, New York and Suffolk County, Long Island.

Dr. Swart has served as an adjunct professor in the Division of Education and as the Supervisor of Student Teachers since 2009. His most recent presentation, Teacher Expectation and Student Achievement, was given at the Dr. Lucy DiPaola Institute. He is equally interested in the research topics of Federal Intervention in Public Schools to Address Student Equity Issues, Integrated Co-Teaching Models, and Pure Interdisciplinary Semester I, Semester II Block Scheduling.

Dr. Swart is a member of the New York University Roundtable, The New York State Council of School Superintendents, and the Suffolk Count Superintendents Association. He resides in Newburgh, New York and Narragansett, Rhode Island.
