Florence is one of the most culturally sophisticated cities in
all of Europe. It houses more original artwork than almost any
other European city, and is called the birthplace of the Italian
Renaissance. The city is littered with museums, cathedrals, and
piazzas, and it's also a gastronome’s dream!
Located two hours north of Rome, Florence has a population of
approximately 4 million and was briefly the capital of the Kingdom
of Italy in 1865. Florence was long ruled by the Medici family,
whose legacy has left a far-reaching impact on art, culture,
history, and politics in this amazing city.
Our faculty-led program is run in conjunctions with CAPA
International and is considered to be one of the premiere Study
Abroad centers in Florence. It is located on the Piazza Galli-Tassi
on the Via Pandolfini. The school is in the shadow of the
Brunelleschi Dome and steps from Santa Croce.
