Assistant Professor of Education in Teaching Students with Disabilities

The Division of Education seeks applicants for a faculty position to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on teaching students with disabilities (SWD) in grades 1-6 and 7-12 for the 2014-2015 academic year. Course requirements include embedded fieldwork supervision and use of program-wide assessments. Candidates seeking this position should have an earned doctorate in teaching SWD, teaching experience in K-12 schools with diverse populations, and strong knowledge of research-based methods for instruction and assessment of SWD and learners who are at risk. Experience using applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a plus as is experience in teaching preschool students with disabilities. Candidates will also be expected to engage in scholarship and contribute to the college community.
