Assistant Professor of Information Technology

Assistant Professor of Information Technology, Tenure-Track, beginning August 2015. Ph.D. in IT or related field required at the time of appointment.

The search committee seeks candidates who are capable of teaching courses which include Internet programming, website management, and computer operations and management. Additionally, faculty are expected to teach service courses as well such as computer literacy. The department is also interested in faculty that can teach programming courses in areas such as mobile apps and mathematics.

Mount Saint Mary College places a priority on excellent teaching, dedication to scholarship and student engagement, and service to the college and community. In addition to teaching 12 credit hours of course work each semester, faculty members are expected to maintain active participation in research, provide academic advisement for students, and be involved in college governance. The committee is looking for candidates who can demonstrate innovative teaching and an interest in undergraduate research.
