The Division of Math and Information Technology at Mount Saint
Mary College in Newburgh, New York is currently accepting
applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Mathematics
beginning August 2014. A PhD in mathematics at the time of
appointment is required.
The search committee seeks candidates who will complement the
existing members of the mathematics department and are capable of
teaching a variety of courses including upper-level and lower-level
mathematics courses. MSMC places a priority on excellent teaching,
dedication to scholarship and student engagement, and service to
the college and community. In addition to teaching 12 credit hours
of course work each semester, faculty members are expected to
maintain active participation in research, college governance, and
academic advisement. The committee is looking for candidates who
can demonstrate innovative teaching, the use of technology within
the curriculum, and a strong interest in undergraduate
