Mount Saint Mary College of Physician Assistant Studies is
seeking an experienced dynamic physician educator and invites
applications for a twelve-month position in the program of
Physician Assistant Studies. The time requirement for this position
is one workday per week (.20 FTE) but depending on the interests of
the candidate and needs of the Physician Assistant program, more
time will be considered. The successful applicant will serve as the
program’s Medical Director reporting to the Program Director.
Qualifications include currently licensed or eligible for
licensure in New York State as an allopathic or osteopathic
physician, certification by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty
board, five years of clinical practice experience, experience
working with physician assistants in clinical setting, strong
interpersonal and communication skills and enthusiastic about
working in a collaborative environment. Experience with physician
assistant program academic curriculum development, program
assessment and analysis, and maintenance of program compliance with
ARC-PA accreditation standards are desirable.
The principle duties include assisting the Program Director in
the acquisition and maintenance of ARC-PA provisional status
accreditation and the Continuing Accreditation Process. Additional
duties include assisting the Program’s Clinical Director with the
development and assessment of clinical affiliate sites, the
coordination of the program’s didactic and clinical curriculum
content, design and assessment and teaching in the area of personal
