You're invited to Senior Send-Off: May 14-15, 2014


Registration for Senior Send-Off opens today at 4 pm!
Seniors are not permitted to sign up anyone other than themselves for the activities. In order to sign up for Senior Send-Off activities, you must have a valid MSMC ID and be eligible for graduation. Senior Send-Off activities are for graduates only; guests are not permitted at events or in the residence halls. Visit www.msmc.edu/SeniorSendoffRSVP after 4 pm today to register. This link will also be available on the portal.

Please note: The following information pertains only to the Student Activities portion of Senior Send-Off; it does not include Commencement weekend activities. A separate schedule for Commencement weekend (Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17) can be accessed at www.msmc.edu/commencement2014. These events are sponsored by the College and information will be distributed by the ceremonial chairs.

Who can attend the Senior Send-Off student activities sponsored by SGA?
December '13, May '14, or August '14 graduating seniors may participate in SGA-sponsored student activities on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15.

Housing Requirements for Senior Send-Off:

  • Only students who were residents during the periods listed above are permitted to reside in Senior Week housing Wednesday, May 14-Saturday, May 17.
  • As per the normal process, all resident students will be required to vacate their current rooms, turning in all keys 24 hours after their last academic commitment. The residence halls close Tuesday, May 13 at 2 pm.
  • There will be no campus housing available until Wednesday, May 14. You may pick-up your keys on Wednesday, May 14, from 10 am-1 pm from Residence Life in Hudson Hall 117.
  • Complete information will be available from the Residence Life Office in April. Remember: you must sign up with the Office of Residence Life if you would like to secure a residence space.
  • Specific guest/visitor information will be outlined in the communication sent from the Residence Life Office.
  • Please note: If you choose to stay on campus during Senior Send-Off, you must participate in activities scheduled.

Please continue checking your MSMC email for important information and updated details pertaining to Senior Send-Off housing.

Important Reminders:

  • The View, Henry's Courtside, and Jazzman's Café will be closed during Senior Week.
  • The Dominican Center Café will be open Wednesday-Friday, 8:30 am-2:30 pm. (Meal plans will have concluded at this point; however, Mount Money, cash, or credit will be accepted.)
  • Please keep in mind: any individual that is subject to disciplinary action near or during Senior Send-Off may be restricted from attending Senior Send-Off events and/or from the housing privileges.

Wednesday, May 14

Senior Check-In
10 am-2 pm, Residence Life Office in Hudson Hall

Senior BBQ
1-5 pm, Guzman Hill Lawn (Rain Location: Kaplan Gym)
Giveaways, prizes, novelties, activities, free food, and more!

Senior Cocktail and Comedy Knight
7-10 pm, Guzman Hill Lawn (Rain Location: Hudson Auditorium)
$1 per drink. Dinner and entertainment provided.

Thursday, May 15

Senior Sunrise
Dominican Center, Time TBD

Life After College Brunch
Co-sponsored by the Career Center
11 am-1 pm, Hudson Hall Auditorium

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal
1:30 pm, Aquinas Hall Theatre
You must attend this rehearsal in order to walk in graduation. Information will be distributed by the ceremonial chairs; this event is not a SGA-sponsored activity.

Dinner
4-5 pm, Guzman Hill Lawn (Rain Location: Hudson Hall Auditorium)
Enjoy dinner before the boat ride. Food will not be available on the boat.

Pride of the Hudson Boat Cruise
6-9 pm, Hudson River
Space is limited and a reserved spot is not guaranteed at the time of online sign up. All those eligible will be emailed if they have a confirmed space on the boat prior to the event.
5:15 pm – Buses will leave from Hudson Lot and make trips down to Newburgh Landing.
6:00 pm – The Pride of the Hudson boat will depart and cruise around the Hudson River.
9:00 pm – One bus will begin making return runs back to MSMC.
Please note: You must be 21 years of age, and must bring a valid picture ID to get on the boat. There will be a cash bar and space is limited.
