Timeline to College

Fall 2016

  • Log onto the new student portal and activate your account at You will need your student ID number from your acceptance letter.
  • Schedule a campus visit at
  • Get ready to file your FAFSA starting October 1 this year. Students can now use their family’s 2015 taxes (prior, prior year) to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit to get started.

December 2016

  • Complete your FAFSA by the Mount’s December 1 priority deadline and you will receive your financial aid package soon after it is submitted.

January 2017

  • Do you participate in school or community activities? If so, apply for the Mount’s Leadership Scholarship.
  • Attend our last Open House of the season on January 29!

February 2017

  • File your FAFSA by February 15 to receive full consideration for Mount need-based grants, state, and federal aid.
  • Register to attend a New Student Day in March, and meet other members of the Class of 2021.

March 2017

  • Attend the Mount’s New Student Day on March 5 or March 26, 2017.
  • Already sure the Mount’s for you? Pay your admissions deposit online, and secure your place in the freshman class.

April 2017

May 2017

  • Admissions deposits are due on May 1.
  • Need to take a placement exam? Make sure to complete all placement tests in order to register for classes.
  • Are you a student with a disability and need accommodations? Make sure to submit all of the necessary documentation to the Office of Disability Services, beginning May 1 for the fall semester. (If you are a nursing student and are taking the TEAS, please begin to submit your documentation beginning April 1.)
  • Residents, watch for your housing information in the mail.

June 2017

  • Complete your housing paperwork online, if you plan to live on campus.
  • Request that your high school send in your official high school transcript. We need proof of high school graduation to disburse your financial aid.
  • Are you applying for a loan? If so, both students and parents can complete loan applications now.
  • Do you plan to use the Mount’s no-interest monthly payment plan? If so, your first payment is due next month.
  • Submit health forms to the Office of Health and Wellness.

July 2017

  • Attend New Student Orientation on Thursday, July 6-Friday, July 7 or Tuesday, July 11-Wednesday, July 12.
  • Did you take college courses senior year? If so, request your official sealed transcript be sent to the Admissions office.
  • Submit your first tuition payment if using the Mount’s payment plan.

August 2017

  • Residents, watch for your housing assignment in the mail.
  • Confirm your enrollment by validating. Watch for an email to arrive mid-August.
  • Move into the residence halls and attend Opening Weekend events on Sunday, August 27, and start your fall classes on Monday, August 28!
