Carpool Program

Mount Saint Mary College is participating in Clean Air NY’s Community Partner program. Along with 511NY Rideshare, Clean Air NY helps commuters find easy, affordable, and sustainable alternatives to driving alone.

Clean Air NY is an initiative that supports region wide air-quality efforts. Their network of individuals and businesses believe that everyone can help make New York’s air healthier and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

As a Clean Air NY Community Partner, the college will inform students, faculty, and staff about air quality and help reduce air pollution through promoting carpooling, vanpooling, taking transit, or biking to work. In 2017, members of 511NY Rideshare and Clean Air NY saved roughly 5,000 metric tons of CO2 and 392,000 drive-alone trips.

The advantages of being a Clean Air Campus include a carpooling portal through 511NY Rideshare that will help you find a ride to your destination with a campus community member. This opportunity is open to all Mount students and faculty/staff.

There’s no better time to help us improve our air quality. Sign up today. More information can be found on the MSMC Portal, under the Resources tab.
