Bio

Kimberly Poje is a practicing board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. The population that she serves is primarily pediatrics, but she has specialized in Neurology as well. Her nursing experience is in the area of critical care. Prior to that, she was the Chief Financial Officer for a large home health care company in Orange County. 

Her areas of interest are supporting students to successfully make the transition from nursing school to graduate RN, as well as from expert nurse to novice NP. She also has an interest in health care reform focusing on the importance of understanding the role of the nurse practitioner in today's changing healthcare climate. She has done research in the areas of Lyme Disease as well as developing a pediatric bullying screening tool for parents as her capstone project for her master's degree.
