The School of Business at Mount Saint Mary College now offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Health Care Management to prepare business professionals for a wide variety of careers in the health care industry.

The MBA concentration in Health Care Management incorporates technology, global vision, ethics, and contemporary business practices into coursework that is designed to prepare students for success in the dynamic health care sector. A curriculum that is rooted in the liberal arts allows students to develop the critical thinking and communications skills that are desired by health care employers.

Top executives from the health care industry teach specialized courses and continually offer presentations focused upon current issues in the field. A Health Care Management Advisory Council helps to ensure that the curriculum addresses contemporary needs.

Accredited through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), the School of Business at Mount Saint Mary College prepares students for careers in a global, ever-changing economy. Health Care Management MBA students develop critical thinking and communication skills that will be important for advancement in their careers.

Accelerated Schedule

The MBA program is offered in an accelerated schedule designed to meet the needs of busy adult professionals. You can earn your MBA at the Mount on a full- or part-time basis. Depending on your credit needs, you can complete the program in 1.5–2 years as a full-time student.

The MBA Student

Our MBA candidates are seasoned senior managers or motivated young professionals who want to advance in or change careers, or start their own businesses. They may work for corporations, nonprofit organizations, or in government or operations.

  • MGT 6700 - Health Care Practicum
    The MGT 6700 course may be taken upon completion of MGT 5200, Health Care Industry Analysis and MGT 5210, Issues and Trends in Ambulatory and Acute Care.
