Academic Enrichment

Medici Scholars Program

The Medici Scholars Program will introduce undergraduate business students to the world of the arts and nonprofit organizations in order to foster a better understanding of the important role the business community plays in supporting art, music, and nonprofits. Through the generosity of Walden Savings Bank, the Medici Program will prepare students for leadership and principled corporate citizenship.

Program requirements

Each fall, Medici Scholars will be required to attend a musical performance, gallery opening, or other arts event. Following the event, they will meet with board members of the sponsoring arts organization to learn about their business dynamics, challenges, and opportunities.

Each spring, Medici Scholars will participate at an event sponsored by a nonprofit service organization or charity. Following the event, students will once again have the opportunity to meet with board members of these entities for an informal discussion on their experiences.

At the end of each academic year, Medici Scholars will be asked to make a presentation to share their experiences.
