The herbicides, Ortho Ground Clear and Spectracide, contain active ingredients such as ammonium nonanoate and diquat dibromide respectively. Once in contact with plate life, they promote cell death by deteriorating the cell membrane. The brown planaria was introduced to different concentrations of the 2 herbicides to test their toxicity for nontarget organisms.

Both the psychological and physiological effects of color were studied in this experiment. Specifically, the effects of color on an individual’s mood. Through the use of a likert scale, pulse oximetry and a set of secondary questionnaires, we analyzed the way that blue, yellow, red, and white affect a subject’s mood.
