Mount Business grads earn awards

NEWBURGH, N.Y. -

Shortly before graduation, several Mount Saint Mary College Business students were honored for excellence in their field.Mount alumnus Blake Keenan ’18 MBA ’19 recently earned the MBA Accounting Award from The Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants.
 
Blake Keenan of Fishkill, N.Y., a 2018 Mount grad who also earned a Master of Business Administration in May 2019, received The Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) MBA Accounting Award for his outstanding performance as an Accounting student.
 
At the same ceremony, Maite Gritsko of Milford, Conn., who graduated in May with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, received The Mid-Hudson Chapter of the NYSSCPA’s BS Accounting Award. The ceremony was sponsored by the NYSSCPA’s Mid-Hudson Chapter.
 
Other May 2019 Business graduates who received awards are:
 

  • Killian Markuson of Wallkill, N.Y., who graduated Magna Cum Laude. Markuson earned The Excellence in Business Award, presented to an Orange County resident by The Orange County Chamber of Commerce.
  • Jason Wojciechowicz of Walden, N.Y., who graduated Summa Cum Laude. Wojciechowicz earned The Mount Saint Mary College Business Faculty Award for Academic Excellence.
  • Crystal Graham of Chester, N.Y., who graduated Magna Cum Laude. Graham earned the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society Award for Academic Excellence.

 In addition, Noah Ginty of Meriden, Conn., an Accounting major who will enter his senior year at the Mount this fall, earned the Mount Saint Mary College Superior Scholar in Accounting Studies Award.
