Though Mount Saint Mary College has transitioned to online learning for the time being, the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop the college community from celebrating Easter together.

Fr. Gregoire Fluet, director of Campus Ministry and campus chaplain, hosted Mass online on Easter morning, Sunday, April 12, for more than 125 members of the college community.

During his homily, Fr. Fluet encouraged the Mount community to be a force for good during these uncertain times, using the words and deeds of Jesus as an inspiration.

“We at Mount Saint Mary College truly and really seek to become messengers of light,” said Fr. Fluet. “There are some incredible things that are still happing precisely because of what we are enduring, this reality of COVID-19. The dedication is incredible: the dedication of our administration, the dedication of our staff, the dedication of those who are continuing to work at the college, all of the essential employees [such as] our friends in security, who are there right now. We think about all of the projects that the staff has put together, that the faculty has put together, so that we can reach out and be messengers of light…and we are thankful for them all.”
