Mount students receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation

More than a dozen students from Mount Saint Mary College received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation during Masses in the college’s Chapel of the Most Holy Rosary recently.
 
The students were:
 
First Mass (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation): Mount students Anessia Rodriguez of Florida, N.Y. and Alexa Franceschi of Red Hook, N.Y.; and friends of the Mount Sergio Gieco and Steven McLees.
 
Second Mass (Confirmation): Jacqueline McManus of Chester, N.Y.; Danielle Matera of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Jada Rivera of Plattekill, N.Y.; Chelsea and Madalyn Henke of Pawling, N.Y.; Julia Lorenzo of Emerald Isle, N.C.; Debbie Francisco of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico; Nicole Cervone of Shirley, N.Y.; Taylor Keller of New Paltz, N.Y.; Caitlin Keane of Newfoundland, N.J.; Cristina Pinho of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.; and Mariah Rodriguez of Middletown, N.Y.
 
Fr. Gregoire Fluet, chaplain and director of Campus Ministry at the Mount, helped to prepare the students for reception of the sacraments and praised them for their hard work.
 
“A special word of congratulations to members of our Mount Saint Mary College family who received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation,” he said.
 
Bishop Dominick Lagonegro, an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of New York, confirmed the students at the second Mass.
 
Mount students who served at one or both of the Masses were: Christina Mistretta of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Cristina Pinho of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.; Amanda Daigle of Trumbull, Conn.; Alyssa Picard of Torrington, Conn.; and Sophia Reinhardt of Port Ewen, N.Y. (Altar Servers); Jennifer Turci of Plantsville, Conn. (Lector), and Alberto Gilman of New Windsor, N.Y. (Eucharistic Minister). Music Ministry was provided by Nick Tucker of the Bronx, N.Y. and friends of the Mount Jeff Mazzone and Vincent Mateo.
 
In addition, said Fr. Fluet, “Many thanks also to Melody Sarno [assistant director of Campus Ministry] for helping to organize and prepare the Mass of Confirmation in so many ways.”
