One of the groups of Mount Saint Mary College student presenters from the SURE program.

About two dozen Mount Saint Mary College students recently presented their original research for the annual Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE), hosted by the college.

The scholars worked one-on-one with Mount faculty mentors in the areas of biology, chemistry, education, and finance to complete a unique research project during the summer interim.

Steven Tobey of Stratford, Conn. recently presented his research on the effects of the Dodd-Frank Act on community banks. Tobey was a participant in Mount Saint Mary College’s Summer Undergraduate Research Experience, where students work one-on-one with faculty mentors on a research project of their choosing.
