Young cancer survivor throws first pitch at Mount softball game

March 31, 2016
NEWBURGH, N.Y. -

Six-year-old Joshua Winslow, a cancer survivor, threw the first pitch at a Mount Saint Mary softball game on March 19.

After beating the illness about three years ago, Joshua remains cancer free.

The Mount women’s lacrosse team will be hosting a cancer awareness game on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m. in honor of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation and their new teammate, Brielle, who they “adopted” in October 2015. Like Joshua, Brielle was recently given the “all clear” from her doctor.

The game is open to the public.
