Classroom and Academic Accommodations
All students applying for accommodations must complete the Information and Accommodations Request Form.
After submitting the request, students must then submit the required documentation to support their need for accommodations. Click here for more information.
Students who have approved testing accommodations such as extended time, alternate test site, use of computer, exams read, or the assistance of a scribe can use our online form to schedule their exams at the Disability Services testing room.
It is recommended that students schedule tests and exams as far in advance as possible so that there is ample lead time to schedule proctors, scribes, readers, and reserve rooms. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the accommodations not being available.
Students with documented disabilities who require accommodations must identify themselves to the Disability Services office and present appropriate documentation for review. After the documentation is reviewed, the student must make an appointment with the Coordinator of Disability Services to review their approved accommodations and discuss the procedures for receiving their accommodations. There may be new accommodations which involve technology or other accommodations that cannot be provided at the college level. All options will be discussed in this meeting.
At times, students may need assistance with communicating their needs to faculty and staff. We encourage students to contact the Disability Services office with any such concerns so we can help to resolve them as soon as possible. We work collaboratively with other departments to resolve any issues related to disability needs that may arise throughout the academic year.
The Disability Services office works with students to ensure that they have accessibility to campus services and locations across the campus. Students are encouraged to seek assistance for any accessibility concerns by contacting the Disability Services office.
