Dr. Alisha McCorvey is the Director of Disability Services. She acts as a resource for students, faculty and staff who need assistance in addressing disability issues and concerns. She oversees the dissemination of Mount Saint Mary College’s academic and non-academic campus accommodations (including temporary disabilities), assists students in communicating needs to faculty and staff, and works collaboratively with other departments to resolve any concerns related to disability needs that may arise.
Dr. McCorvey holds a Doctorate in Education from Fordham University’s Division of Educational Leadership,
Administration and Policy, in Educational Leadership, she holds an Advanced Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Bank Street College of Education, a Master of Social Work from Marywood University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Work from SUNY, College at New Paltz. Prior to her work at the Mount, Mrs. McCorvey, she held positions as Special Education Supervisor and Administrator at Arlington Central School District, Mahopac Central School District, was principal at PNW BOCES, and spent 18 years as a school social worker for Peekskill City School District.

Margaret McCarthy (Maggie) is the Accommodations Coordinator in Disability Services. In this capacity, Maggie assists students with the process of becoming registered in the Disability Services office. Maggie also manages the testing schedule and oversees the proctors for our testers. Maggie also meets with students to discuss their accommodations and helps students utilized to the best of their ability. Maggie graduated from the Mount Saint Mary College in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in History and Childhood Education and Special Education. After graduating from the Mount, Maggie moved back home and taught Pre-Kindergarten for two years. Maggie is originally from Long Island, NY but now resides in Goshen, NY.

Jennifer Bruntil is the Learning Specialist in the Office of Disability Services. Jen provides services supporting students enrolled with Disability Services and specifically, students enrolled in the Persist Achieve Connect Thrive (P.A.C.T) Program. She works both individually and with small groups of students to develop and customize teaching and learning practices for each student. Teaching skills like notetaking, time management, self- advocacy, writing, study skills and test preparation throughout the semester, Jen strives to meet the needs of all students with various learning styles.
Throughout the semester Jen leads workshops that address student learning needs. She also leads a weekly walking group for PACT students. This allows students the opportunity to gather and to discuss things on their mind while exercising and getting fresh air.
Jen graduated from SUNY New Paltz College with her Masters of Science degree in Education and holds NYS Teacher certifications in Special Education Pre K-12, Elementary Education Pre K-6, and Social Studies 7-12. She taught in the New Paltz Central School District for ten years and served as the School Programming Coordinator for Historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz, NY for three years before coming to the Mount.

Jennifer Ahrens (Jen) is an Intern and Disability Counselor in Disability Services where she supports the Director and Accommodations Coordinator in helping students registered with the office.
Jen is a candidate for a Master of Social Work at Fordham University. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her internship at the Mount, Jen worked in Global Brand Development and Market Research for 15 years and previously worked in Publishing in New York City.
