Today, virtually every academic classroom capable of supporting
smart technology is equipped with projection, multi-media assets,
multiple computer connections, sound, and software. Mount Saint
Mary College is proud of the 50 plus classrooms that offer
instructional technology.
Infrastructure
The Mount's technology infrastructure offers a dynamic fiber
optic-based campus-wide data, telephony, and wireless
network. Our network is robust and ever-changing to meet the
challenges of higher education, while maintaining a solid footprint
in the evolving technologies, including synchronous and
asynchronous learning.
Support Structure
The Office of Technology is divided into support elements
designed to enhance campus support. The elements include
Audio/Visual Support Services, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Systems Services, Instructional Media Services, Network/Wireless
Services, Hardware/Software Support Services, Telephony Services,
and the IT Help Desk.
Each element is staffed with technology professionals holding
support certifications and a customer-support orientation as
defined by the international standard ITIL Version 3.
Our goal is to provide a wealth of information to help our
students, faculty and staff to fully exploit the college's
technological assets and access to our support processes.
