Immersion Opportunities: Students will take part in cooking classes, wine tasting, hiking, guest lectures, and day trips to the countryside. Other excursions will include the many churches, galleries, and landmarks such as the Duomo, the Cloisters of Santa Maria Novella, the Uffizi, the Museo Galileo, and the tower of Pisa. Optional tours of the secret passages of Palazzo and a boat tour on the Arno River may be available.
Cost: Approximate costs are $6,700, which includes tuition and fees, airfare, orientation, resident staff, housing, excursions, cultural activities, and comprehensive medical insurance through HTH Worldwide. Food, books, spending money, and other travel expenses are not included. Federal financial aid for summer study abroad is available.

Housing: Students live with other Mount participants in apartments about 5-10 minutes away from campus and the city center. All classes are held at the CAPA Florence Study Center, a lively place with a strong sense of community, housed in the Palazzo Galli-Tassi. The campus is located in the middle of Florence, close to the Duomo and other central landmarks.
