First-Year Student ORIENTATION:
July 11 & 25
Your Mount Saint Mary College journey begins with New Student Orientation - a one-day engaging program to help all incoming first-year students transition to the Mount community while meeting new friends and learning about the amazing opportunities you'll experience as a Knight. Orientation will cover topics such as student resources, the Mount's mission, academic preparedness, Knight life, and more. Registration will be available soon.
Orientation is required for all incoming students at the Mount (Transfer & Graduate students will have their own Orientation sessions). While on campus, all incoming students are responsible for adhering to the MSMC Student Code of Conduct. Please ensure you are familiar with the college's policies by viewing the Student Handbook.

You will familiarize yourself with classes, classmates, and professors, learn academic expectations, and identify resources available should you need extra support. Every first-year student will be assigned to an academic coach in the Office of Student Success to help you navigate your first year at college. On a personal level, you will get to know your peers, roommate(s), and become involved in student life. The Student Engagement Office, Student Government Association, and the Mount Activities Board will sponsor many student-run organizations and on-campus events for both residents and commuters, especially during the first month of school.
Transfer/Graduate students will attend their respective Orientation session held in August.
Yes, the housing application will be due by Friday, July 5th. Housing information and a link for the housing application will be sent to the students' email addresses in early June. The housing application link will also be available on the Residence Life page of the MSMC portal.
Your application is used to create roommate pairings, so please fill out the form yourself and answer questions accurately. If you are requesting a specific person as your roommate, you must create a roommate group before Friday, July 5, 2024. Roommate groups can only be created after both roommates have completed the housing application. Details on how to create a roommate group will be provided in June.
Due to space constraints, we cannot grant any requests regarding suite mates or suite sizes.
