Dr. Rehfus-Wilsek is a global physician with extensive experience setting up neonatal centers in at risk communities worldwide as well as an academic with international experience. In addition to teaching domestically, she has taught in Central America, the Caribbean, China, South Korea, East and West Africa, and Europe.

Moreover, her MBA has afforded her the opportunity to work in the global arena assisting in hospital/healthcare center design and operations, strategic planning, quality assurance and patient safety, and ethics and compliance, on 4 continents.

Dr. Rehfus-Wilsek has a passion for ensuring the future of healthcare professionals are as equipped as possible for this most challenging and rewarding of careers.

On a personal note, Dr. Rehfus-Wilsek grew up in the suburbs of Chicago near O'Hare airport, has two younger siblings, and has been married for 33 years. Before her healthcare endeavors, she attended the Cordon Bleu in Chicago and has worked in some of the best restaurants in Chicago, even working as the executive party chef at a prestigious hotel on the Magnificent Mile. She still enjoys the culinary arts and using cooking as her creative outlet, often making French pasties for family and friends. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with the students of Mount Saint Mary College.
