Remote Library Services

The library’s after-hours spaces in the Dominican Center will be open 24/7 for resident students.  This includes the computer lab and printer, as well as the large open reading rooms on the 2nd floor (Orange Room and Green Room), the smaller open study spaces on the 1st floor (near the Research Help Desk and Writing Center)., and the DC Cafe area. Small study rooms on the 2nd floor may be reserved online.  In addition, there are a number of spaces available to attend Zoom classes.  The North Side of the library will be closed until further notice.

Request physical items (books, DVDs, etc.) owned by the library via Library2U. Schedule a pick-up time between Monday - Friday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Students in quarantine off-campus can assign a proxy to pick up materials on their behalf. Students in quarantine on-campus will receive materials through Health Services.

Requests can be made by commuters and students in quarantine to have documents printed by library staff.  Papercut points will be deducted.  Commuter students can schedule a convenient pick-up time between Monday - Friday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Students in quarantine off-campus can assign a proxy to pick up materials on their behalf. Students in quarantine on-campus will receive materials through Health Services.

Contact library staff through the Ask A Librarian service, via text (845-299-9019), or chat using the pink ASK US button on the website.  One-on-one research consultations are great for big or more complex projects.

Ebooks and streaming video options are plentiful; literally tens of thousands of ebooks and thousands of films are available through the library. Research databases contain articles in scholarly journals and popular magazines in every subject. 

Submit a request through interlibrary loan to obtain any articles not owned by MSMC.

Subscriptions to the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and more are free to the MSMC community.
