Robert Milby, Orange County poet laureate, will give a poetry reading at the Mount at 4 p.m. at Kaplan Family Library.
Robert Milby, freelance writer and educator of Florida, NY, has been reading his poetry in the Hudson Valley, NYC, Long Island, NJ, PA, and New England since early 1995. He’s given over 440 featured readings and has been onstage in front of poetry audiences over 1,300 times. He currently hosts 4 Hudson Valley, NY poetry readings and has hosted 28 series since 9/95. His most recent book of poetry is Victorian House: Ghosts and Gothic Poems (Lion Autumn Music, NYC, 2015). A new collection of poems, most of which were inspired by Orange County, NY, is forthcoming in 2018. He is widely published in over two dozen magazines and 17 anthologies. Milby is a listed poet with Poets & Writers, NY since early 2005. He is Poet Laureate of Orange County, NY, May 2017 to May 2019.
