Diversity & Inclusion - In the Workplace & Beyond

iROC - Investigating Research on CampusMichael Fox

Please be with us October 22nd when Michael L. Fox, School of Business, presents Diversity & Inclusion - In the Workplace and Beyond.

Employees who work outside the home should be aware of the state and federal laws that are set in place to protect them in employment settings. This presentation will address employment, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws and cases at both the New York State and federal levels. Dr. Fox will evaluate and discuss current trends increasing protection for diversity and disability in the workplace as well as the academic world.

Michael L. Fox is an Assistant Professor of Business Law in the School of Business. He received his Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an Articles Editor on the Columbia Business Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude, from Bucknell University, with a major in Economics and minor in Biology. As a legal practitioner prior to academia, he was rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and admitted to practice in New York State, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Diversity & Inclusion - In the Workplace and Beyondwill take place in the DC Cafe of the Dominican Center. This event has been approved FYE credit as College Connection. All are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!
